Case study

Custom plate for an emergency stop button

A discontinued part, remade to measure and installed without modifying the panel.

Come funziona

  1. The context

A small local company asked us to make a custom plate for mounting an emergency stop button on a control panel.

  2. The problem

The original part was no longer available and the customer needed a quick, functional solution that could be installed without modifying the existing structure.

  3. The requirement

We needed to make a mount compatible with the stop device, with precise dimensions and a geometry suited to the panel it was going on.

  4. The CLOG solution

We designed a custom plate, replicating the housing of the emergency stop button and adapting it to the panel. The design was optimised for maximum stability of the part.

How we made it

  1. Analysis

Analysis of the customer's needs and of the device to be housed.

  2. Design

CAD design of the plate, with attention to dimensions and tolerances.

  3. Quick iteration

Quick iterations of the model until final approval.

  4. Production

    Production with FDM 3D printing.

  5. Inspection and delivery

    Dimensional check and immediate delivery.

Technology and materials

  • Technology: FDM 3D printing
  • Material: PETG
  • Goal: strength, stability, precision, fast production

Result

The customer fitted the plate to the control panel straight away, restoring the emergency system without replacing other parts or modifying the installation.

The solution was delivered quickly, at a lower cost than traditional alternatives.
